Cumbernauld Theatre is one of Scotland’s oldest and most successful professional producing theatres creating popular theatre. Situated in the beautiful Cumbernauld House Park the Theatre also has a year-round programme showcasing the best drama, music, comedy and dance from visiting companies. Cumbernauld Theatre supports a wide range of professional artist development programmes as part of its commitment to investing in emerging and mid-career artists based in Scotland. The Primary purpose of the Company-in-Residence programme is to support and enable a small scale theatre/performance company to develop new opportunities, skills and outcomes for their work both creatively and organisationally. The programme is a 12 month residency based at Cumbernauld Theatre. Cumbernauld Theatre are flexible as regards the exact start date for the Company in Residence, and this will be agreed collaboratively, although this date should be between March and May 2014, and will run for 12 months chronologically, ending in Spring 2015.
