Appletreewriters: Competition for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence

In support of the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Violence ~ 25^th November -10^th December 2013, the appletreewriters are running a writing competition. They want writers to respond to the Global Campaign and in particular the events being run by Scottish Womens’Aid and write either a poem or prose piece under the heading ‘Witness’ or ‘Journey’. The competition will be judged by our Writer in Residence Sheree Mack and the winning entry will receive a place on one of the writing courses 2014. A selection of winning entries will also be published on our website. To enter please submit entries to submissions@appletreewriters.co.uk. You will then be asked to pay a £5 entry fee through the shop. The £5 per entry fee will be donated in its entirety to Scottish Women’s Aid. Competition Opens for Submissions on the 10th December closes on the 1st January 2014.
