ARTZEPT International Design Award 2013

Artzept is an international design competition founded by Mrs. Madlena Zepter. Artzept gives the world’s most talented young designers well-deserved recognition, with prizes and publicity, and also provides them with opportunity to exhibit their work in luxurious Zepter shops throughout Europe, a dream for any young interior designer. Just like its mighty sponsor Zepter International, Artzept is also dedicated to building the home of tomorrow, for the people of tomorrow. Zepter International accomplishes this goal by producing top-class domestic appliances that are designed to improve the health and environmental awareness of people today.

The competition theme for 2013 is “EATING
IN STYLE” – Fish and seafood cutlery and serving plate.
To be considered for the awards, all participants should submit the design of fish and seafood serving cutlery and plate which include:

• Fish knife and fork, lobster fork, crab cracker, oyster fork, shrimp scissors, seafood pick and caviar spoon
• Fish and seafood serving plate

The main material for making the cutlery is metal but, combinations which include other fine materials are also allowed. The serving plate design should be suitable for production in porcelain, glass, metal and other precious materials.

All submitted entries must be entirely new and original creations, both functional and aesthetically pleasing, suitable for large-scale production. All items (cutlery and plate) should be made as 3D digital models in a CAD/CAM or CAID software and should also be presented in high resolution rendered images so as to clearly show the shape, appearance and purpose of the artefacts, as well as their dimensions, materials, finishing of the surfaces and paints. The deadline for submission is 20th October 2013.
