The Cumberland Pencil Company is delighted to announce the second Derwent Art Prize for works created in pencil. The prize offers a total of £12,650 to artists working in this versatile medium and is open to artists over 18 throughout the world. Submit your work using graphite, charcoal, pastel, watersoluble or coloured pencils. An exhibition of shortlisted works will be on show in September 2014 at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1. Artists are invited to submit up to 6 images. The selectors are aware that some work may not lend itself to reproduction and wish to reassure artists that there may be opportunities to view actual works. The work entered must be created in pencil (including water-soluble, pastel, graphite, charcoal or colouring pencils). The work must not exceed 182cms in its greatest dimension. There is no minimum size limit. The Prize is open to both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional works. All entered work must have been completed within the last 3 years. The work selected for exhibition must be available from 1st September 2014 to January 2015. Closing date: 12 PM (GMT) on 9th June 2014.
A non-refundable £15 application fee for the first work and £5 per additional works (price and currency will vary depending on country).
