2014 - 2015 Arts Fellowship Program in the Flameworking, Glass, Textiles and Wood Studios.
This program offers graduates an opportunity to work within a professional studio environment after completing their studio education. This program provides a venue to assist new artists with the production of their first body of work in a specialized studio. Based on studio availability, fellowships will be awarded to recent graduates in flameworking, glass, textiles and wood.
Flameworking: Half-time Residency - up to 25 working hours in the studio per week
Glass: Single Slot Residency - one blow/casting slot per week, 10 hours cold-working per week
Textiles: Half-time Residency - up to 25 working hours in the studio per week
Wood: Half-time Residency - up to 25 working hours in the studio per week
To be eligible for the competition, applicants must be new graduates (within two years of graduation) of a post-secondary school degree in studio arts, or of an educational equivalent. Artists must submit a full application package including the following information:
- Completed application form;
- Artist CV as of application date outlining education, exhibition history (if any), and awards/scholarships;
- Artist statement – 500 words or less;
- 500 word statement of intent describing how the applicant will benefit from receipt of the scholarship;
- 10 digital images and/or video submissions of work produced within two years prior to the application date;
- 2 sealed letters of recommendation
- SASE for the return of application materials.
