Aberdeen City Council is committed to supporting the development of arts and culture in the city. Whether it's the intrinsic value of creating or the social, educational and economic benefits of cultural activity and events, its fundamental role in our everyday lives is clear and recognised. In order to support the development of, and access to, high quality arts and culture activity, in 2014/15 ACC have three main funding programmes available; Project Grants, Creative Spaces Grants and Artists Bursaries.
Project Grants - 1st application round now open
This Project Grants programme is open to proposals from arts organisations or community groups for any type of arts and culture project. Be it a community arts workshop, a heritage trail, a networking event or a visual arts exhibition, all proposals will be considered provided the core criteria is met. Funding of up to £10,000 is available and applications are now being invited for the first application round.
The deadline for the first application round is 9am on Monday February 3rd 2014. All applications for this round will be considered at the meeting of the Culture & Sport Sub Committee on the 19th of February 2014. Please note that any payments for this application round will not be processed until the 1st of April 2014.
A second application round will be opened on February 4th 2014 with a deadline of 9am on Monday March 31st 2014.
