The Queen's Head is seeking written submissions for its fourth issue. Any form of writing - poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction, half-truths, outright lies, carefully curated to-do lists, and so on - will be considered.
The Queen’s Head is a new illustrated literary zine, albeit with a light grasp on what’s considered literary – we aim to champion writers and illustrators who share a soft-spot for irreverence and a dark streak of obsession.
All submissions should be no more than 3000 words in length; non-fiction should ideally be no less than 750. Exceptions may be made at the editors' discretion. Maintaining a polished format in spite of a DIY ethos and a shoestring budget, The Queen’s Head is a labour of love. That said, it’s a love we’d like to share, so all contributors will receive a free copy of their featured issue.
The deadline for submissions to Issue 4 is the 17th June.
