In 2005 the collector couple Prof. Agnes and Karlheinz Essl launched the ESSL ART AWARD CEE. Conferred every two years the ESSL ART AWARD CEE is dedicated to the discovery and support of young artistic talents from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
One main goal of the award is to offer a broad and multi-layered insight into the recent young art scene of this region and to give the artists the opportunity to present their works in an international museal context.
