Call for Entry 8th Cheonjgu International Craft Competition

Cheongju International Craft Biennale is pleased to present

Something Old Something New,

the new theme for the 2013 Cheongju International Craft Biennale.

Craft can evolve from something familiar into something fresh and new within a certain time

and space. In turn, the new craft which may at first seem novel and unfamiliar can breed

familiarity with time. Our intention is to acknowledge the value of craft which has developed

between familiarity and originality in the course of time and space, and to explore its various

futures.

With this in mind, the 8th Cheongju International Craft Biennale invites the diverse and works by influential established artists and new emerging artists.

Metal craft or metalwork, Ceramics, Woodwork, Fibers, Glass, etc., as well as other 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional works that creatively constructs the contemporary craft art values of functionality or aesthetics using natural or man-made materials. Individuals or groups of all nationalities and genders are welcome to apply.
Deadline for submissions 2013, 13th june.
