Das "Fair Pay for Artists: Exhibition Payment" Symposium der IAA Europe findet am 24.09.2021 statt.

Das Symposium wird von der IAA Europe zusammen mit der Artists' Association of Finland und der britischen Organisation a-n The Artists Information Company veranstaltet,

Eingeladen sind Künstler*innen und Fachpersonen aus dem Bereich der bildenden Kunst, um Modelle für eine faire Vergütung von Ausstellungen zu diskutieren.

Referent*innen u.a. aus den USA, Großbritannien, den Niederlanden und Finnland stellen verschiedene Modelle für Ausstellungsvergütungen vor und diskutieren Werkzeuge für die Kampagnenarbeit sowie aktuelle Erfahrungen in der Bildenden Kunst vor dem Hintergrund der Covid-19-Pandemie.

THE SUNNY ART PRIZE 2021: INTERNATIONAL ART COMPETITION - Call for submissions

The Sunny Art Prize is sponsored by the Art Council England and has established itself as one of the UK’s most prestigious international art competitions. The scope of this contemporary art prize is about sourcing the most talented artists from all over the world, both established and emerging ones, who produce ground-breaking and innovative artworks. We select artists who work with a wide range of media, making the art prize a varied and stimulating global platform to engage with critical contemporary issues and topics. The art competition is then open to everyone, regardless of location or preferred medium and theme.

Every year, we shortlist 30 artists, among whom we select three winners. All the shortlisted artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work at the Sunny Art Centre, London, a prestigious art institution with an extraordinary collection of old masters and artworks by leading contemporary artists. The winners, alongside seven other artists chosen from the shortlist, have the chance to exhibit their work with our partnering galleries in China. The exhibiting galleries are located in cities across China, such as Beijing and Shanghai. They are amongst the leading art institutions in the Asian art market.

This art contest also gives the art prize-winners the chance to experience a one-month artist residency in China. The Artist Residency Programme is organised in collaboration with established Chinese art institutions, and it provides the opportunity to engage with historically and culturally rich places in China.

Cheltenham Illustration Awards 2021 - Call for Entries

The theme for 2021’s Exhibition and Annual : 'The Story of a Better Tomorrow'.

The focus of the Awards has always been one of narrative. Visual storytelling, whether sequential or single image, gives scope to the imagination and opens up possibilities beyond the present moment; what happened  before? What happens next?

Open to all students, emerging and established illustrators.

The selected work will be showcased at the Museum in the Park, Stroud, UK, other venues such as the London Book Fair, and published in the 2021 Cheltenham Illustration Awards Annual, which will be distributed to educators and publishers, internationally.

The Awards will also be inviting work from established artists and illustrators whose work we admire and that contributes to the theme.

The deadline for submitted entries is the 16th of June 2021.

Internationale Journalisten-Programme e.V. - Deutsch-Nordeuropäisches Journalistenstipendium 2021

Für das Jahr 2021 schreiben die Internationalen Journalisten-Programme (IJP) zum zweiundzwanzigsten Mal ihr Stipendienprogramm mit den fünf nordischen Ländern Dänemark, Finnland, Island, Norwegen und Schweden sowie Estland, Lettland und Litauen aus. 

Insgesamt erhalten bis zu elf deutsche und elf nordische/baltische Journalist:innen die Möglichkeit, bei einem Medium im jeweils anderen Land zu arbeiten. Das Programm wird zeitgleich in den nordischen Ländern ausgeschrieben. 

Mit Hilfe des Deutsch-Nordeuropäischen Stipendiums sollen junge Journalist:innen einen persönlichen Eindruck von Politik, Wirtschaft, Kultur sowie vom gesellschaftlichen Alltag in unseren nördlichen Nachbarländern bekommen. Es bietet die einmalige Gelegenheit, in einem fremden journalistischen Umfeld zu arbeiten und dabei neue Erfahrungen zu sammeln.

Die deutschen Stipendiat:innen erhalten eine einmalige Zahlung von 3.800 Euro. Der Betrag soll einen Teil der Reisekosten, der Verpflegung und der Unterkunft decken. Ein Eigenbeitrag wird erwartet. Eine Vergütung der Arbeit vor Ort ist nicht vorgesehen.

Kunsthalle Messmer: Ausschreibung 6. André Evard-Preis für konkret-konstruktive Kunst

Zum sechsten Mal schreibt die kunsthalle messmer den André Evard-Preis für konkret-konstruktive Kunst aus. Hierzu findet mit den Nominierten eine Ausstellung gegen Ende 2021 statt. Dieser Preis ist dem Schweizer Künstler André Evard (1876–1972) gewidmet. Ab 1913 beschäftigte sich Evard in seiner Malerei mit geometrischen Abstraktionen. Er ist damit einer der ersten nicht figurativ arbeitenden Künstlern Europas und zählt zu den Vorreitern der Schweizer konstruktiv-geometrischen Malerei. Der André-Evard-Preis richtet sich an all jene zeitgenössischen Künstlerinnen und Künstler, die sich ebenfalls der konstruktiv-konkreten Kunst verpflichtet haben. Der Preis ist mit insgesamt 10.000,- € dotiert und wird folgendermaßen aufgeteilt:

1. Platz: 5.000,-€
2. Platz: : 3.000,-€ 3. Platz: 2.000,-€
Publikumspreis: 1.000,-€

European Innovation Council - EU Prize for Women Innovators 2021

The EU Prize for Women Innovators celebrates the women entrepreneurs behind game-changing innovations. In doing so, the EU seeks to raise awareness of the need for more women innovators, and create role models for women and girls everywhere.

The prize is awarded to the most talented women entrepreneurs from across the EU and countries associated to Horizon Europe

, who have founded a successful company and brought innovation to the market. The prize is managed by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, and the winners are chosen by an independent expert jury.

Three prizes of €100,000 each are awarded in the main category. A fourth prize of €50,000 is awarded to a promising ‘Rising Innovator’ aged 30 or younger.

Applications to the 2021 edition of the EU Prize for Women Innovators are now open.

The deadline for submissions is 17:00 (CET) on 30 June 2021.
