The RBS awards ten bursaries each year for sculptors of outstanding talent and potential. The Bursary Awards are designed to benefit sculptors’ in the early stages of their careers, and applications are welcomed from artists of any age and nationality, with or without formal training. All styles of media are considered, including installation, site specific, conceptual and video work.
The successful applicants will participate in a group show in the RBS gallery in London and will enjoy all the benefits of RBS membership for two years. This includes opportunities to exhibit, present talks, apply for residencies, participate in training seminars, attend RBS events and access the unique RBS mentoring scheme. This is not only a fantastic opportunity for emerging sculptors to make the difficult transition to professional practice, but also gives the public an insight into current contemporary sculptural practice.
