The awards are divided into four different categories: Fiction and Narrative Non-Fiction; Poetry; Scots Fiction and Poetry; and Children’s and Young Adult Fiction. You may only apply for one of these categories. The Callan Gordon Award is open to short-story writers and poets between 18 and 35. Eligible writers may enter both this award in addition to one of either the Fiction and Narrative Non-Fiction or Poetry categories. They will only receive one award. Awardees receive a £2,000 cash award.
