North Lands Creative Glass & Borgie Forest Cabin Project: Residencies

North Lands Creative Glass and Borgie Forest Cabin Project are working in partnership to offer a two-venue eight week glass engraving residency. This is an exciting opportunity to take your work beyond the studio and respond directly to the landscape. The residency brings together four visual artists; two Scotland-based and two international. It is aimed at artists with experience of working in glass engraving or with a demonstrable interest in developing skills in glass engraving techniques to advance their work. Artists will be selected by North Lands Creative Glass and Borgie Forest Cabin Project. This opportunity will allow you to enhance your own practice while working within a peer group to gain further skills. Both venues enable artists-in-residence to benefit from a comprehensive range of facilities and equipment. Artists will receive a stipend of £800 and a materials allowance. Technical support, artistic input and general support will be available from North Lands Creative Glass and from the Borgie Forest Cabin Project, but residents will be expected to work in a self-motivated way. Applications must be received by 26 July.

Residency dates: 21 October to 13 December 2013
