Jewelry: ACJ Edinburgh - Exhibition Opportunity - Chromatic

The aim of this exhibition is to show small collections of work (5-8 pieces) which relate to colour. Jewellers are asked to interpret the theme literally, emotionally or any other way they deem appropriate.

Criteria:
1. The work must be in some way tied to the theme.
2. The pieces MUST be wearable in some fashion to adorn the body; we encourage you to explore the full definitions of "wearable", and further explore and push those boundaries.
3. Precious metals are welcome as are other materials - the use of precious metals is not mandatory.
4. A high quality of design and making are essential. The Panel will be considering pieces for a major exposition of what contemporary jewellery in Edinburgh is in 2013
5. Work may be specially made, or may be a related piece from your existing body of work. Images submitted can be photographs, or a clear sketch of your proposal.
6. Submissions from jewellers from Edinburgh or with an Edinburgh connection only please.
7. Applicants are expected to take a pro-active and hands on approach to helping with the promotion and organisation of the exhibition. ACJ Edinburgh is run by jewellers for jewellers and events like this can only take place with your help.
8. Applicants must be paid up members of ACJ.

To submit proposals for this exhibition please send your CV, Artists statement, 3 images of your current work and a proposal of how you intend to interpret the theme.

Contact acjedinburgh@gmail.com to request an application form.

Please note there is a £30 charge to take part in this exhibition.
