The Morton Group announces a competition for developing the architectural concept for a Russian Culture & Education Center in the new Butovo Park microdistrict. Competition participants are asked to reflect the functional and conceptual content of the building through its design. They are invited to search for elements, shapes and symbols that, in their opinion, correspond to the "Russian character" in modern architecture. The building for the Center must be contemporary and innovative as opposed to a “reminiscence” of historical styles of Russian architecture. The official languages of the Competition are English and Russian. Individual architects and creative teams from Russia and abroad are invited to participate in the Competition. Accepting inquiries about the Competition: February 10 to March 8, 2014. Acceptance of applications for participation in the Competition: until 23:59 MSK on March 15, 2014.
