CoastWord - Dunbar's Festival Of Words 2014 June 20th-22nd

The team is looking for entries in both prose and poetry which are inspired by the woods and woodland. Feel free to interpret this in any way you wish, we only ask you to keep to the word limit of 2,500 words for prose, 500 words for flash fiction and 40 lines for poetry. The Shortlist will be judged by acclaimed writer and poet Dilys Rose. The shortlisted writers will be given a place on Dilys’ writing workshop to be held on the Friday Afternoon of the Festival. There will be a prize giving hosted by our Patron, Bernard MacLaverty on the Saturday Afternoon with the winners of the short story, flash fiction and poetry prize invited to read at our In the woods event at Lochend Community Woods on the Sunday morning. The Shortlisted Writers will receive free tickets to all the events and workshops at the festival. The Long Listed Writers will feature in an anthology to be launched at the Festival. The deadline is Friday 14 March 2014 at 23:55.
