Snehta wants to open its doors to four contemporary art practitioners to come and live and work in Athens for two months each; two artists will be in residence in April and May, and two artists in June and July 2014!
The programme’s mission is to educate by spreading contemporary art practice whilst expanding artistic practices that present elements of innovation and experimentation. Snehta fosters practices that clearly delineate the implication between artist, work and audience, supporting creative practices that strongly regard the experience or involvement of the community in the artwork or within the organization.
The application deadline is the 20th of January 2014 and the selected artists will be announced at the beginning of February 2014.
There is an artist fee of £350 per month, (£ 11.6 per day) plus £100 deposit.
