In preparation for our upcoming production of August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Fences— directed by Phylicia Rashad and with costumes designed by Emilio Sosa, designer of ESOSA and finalist on Project Runway and Project Runway All-Stars—McCarter is sponsoring the Project FENCES: Costume Design Competition.
The competition is intended to engage high school and undergraduate students in an exploration of playwright August Wilson’s masterwork Fences; to celebrate the theatrical art of costume design; and identify and recognize the American Theater’s next generation of talented costume designers.
Deadline is the January 3rd, 2014.
