The purpose of this award consists in providing crucial assistance for projects that have not been realised, in the form of a grant up to CHF 40,000 (around € 33,000), in order to bring a photography initiative to completion. There is also the potential to win other prizes and receive exhibitions proposals at Quai1 or during the Festival Images. This competition represents a unique form of support for contemporary original works, with a free choice of subject matter and genre. Artists and photographers have until March 15th 2013 to enter the Vevey International Photo Award.

Le Grand Prix international de photographie de Vevey est une bourse d’aide à la création photographique. Ce prix de quelques CHF 40'000 (env. €33'000) permet à un artiste de développer un projet inédit en un an pour ensuite le présenter dans le cadre du Festival Images 2014. Possibilité de recevoir d'autres prix et mentions ainsi que de se voir proposer une exposition à l’Espace Quai1 ou lors du Festival Images. Ces concours représentent un soutien unique à la création contemporaine avec une liberté de choix du sujet comme du genre. Artistes et photographes ont jusqu'au 15 mars 2013 pour participer au Grand Prix international de photographie de Vevey.
