TANDEM “Community & Participation” is the latest addition to the TANDEM scheme. It is for cultural organisations working in the field of voluntary arts, community arts, (non-formal) arts & citizen education and other forms of creative community development. Tandem participants are typically engaged in promoting citizens’ inclusion and activating participation in local culture and community life. TANDEM “Community & Participation” is an initiative of the Dutch ‘Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie’ (Fund for Cultural Participation – FCP, Utrecht) and the established TANDEM consortium: European Cultural Foundation and MitOst. For one year, 6 cultural managers/project coordinators from the Netherlands and 6 of their peers from Germany, Belgium or UK form 6 transnational collaboration tandems. All participants spend a working placement at their partner’s organisation. Next to experiencing a new cultural environment, this working visit includes the planning and implementation of a joint artistic or cultural community co-production. The deadline for application to the partnership forum is Sunday 15 September 2013.
