Creative Scotland is looking for a Visual Arts Officer to support Creative Scotland's work in the context of our 10 Year and Annual plans. The role will involve assessing and making recommendations on a range of funding applications and contributing to specific development activities related to our priorities in the artform. The post holder will act as lead contact for a number of funded organisations and contribute to and support the wider work of the Visual Arts sector across Scotland. The person appointed will work closely with cultural organisations and other key stakeholders to support the delivery of our work. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of project management and demonstrable experience and knowledge of the Visual Arts sector in Scotland in particular. They will have considerable experience of working with a wide and diverse range of artists and Visual Arts professionals. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to carry out detailed assessments of proposals and their experience of producing clear reports and recommendations. Experience and understanding of the arts in Scotland in particular Visual Arts combined with strong interpersonal skills is essential. Experience of managing evaluation and monitoring processes is desirable but not essential. Closing date for applications is noon on Friday 19 February 2016.
