Are you a designer? Do you love to sew? Looking for something to do during the summer? Have an interest in textiles and design? Do you want to use your creativity and talent for a great cause? Want your designs to get noticed at the largest arts festival in the world? Enter the Weaving Destination Fringe Festival Fashion Show Contest!!
The deadline is Saturday 15 August 2015 at 12:30.
RULES:
1) Sew a garment, bag, headscarf, home furnishing item, or any other type of item using Weaving Destination fabric and send it to us. Mail it back to us by 15th August 2015 (outside the UK) and 20th August 2015 (within the UK).
2) We will include your garment and/or design in the Fashion Show. Your entry will feature in the Fashion Show held on 30th August 2015 (6-7:30pm) in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival! The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is the largest arts festival in the world and is held every August. We will showcase all the designs featured in the fashion show and your design will even get substantial media attention! When purchasing your fabric, let us know if you intend to model the garment yourself in the fashion show or if you would like one our our own models to wear it. If you would like one of our models to wear it, we will send you measurements and you can get started on sewing up your dream designer outfit! For bags, scarfs and other items, just let us know how the item is intended to be worn and we will do the rest!
3) You will be automatically entered in the Fashion Show contest! We have some FABULOUS prizes to be won. Winners will be decided through an audience vote and by a panel of judges during the show.
4) After the show you can either donate your item to Weaving Destination or we can post it back to you to keep. Additionally, we can sell your item for you!
